Nursing Bra Sizing Guide Pakistan | HayaSecrets

Your body changes a lot during pregnancy and breastfeeding and so does your bra size. Wearing the wrong size nursing bra isn't just uncomfortable, it can affect milk flow and cause unnecessary soreness. Here's how to get it right.

Why Your Size Changes During Nursing
Milk supply fluctuates throughout the day and across your breastfeeding journey. Many women go up 1-2 band sizes and 1-2 cup sizes compared to their pre-pregnancy size. It's completely normal and it means the bra that fit last month may not fit today.

How to Measure for a Nursing Bra

  1. Band Size: Measure snugly around your ribcage, just under your bust, right after nursing or pumping (when breasts are at their smallest for the day).
  2. Cup Size: Measure around the fullest part of your bust ideally in the morning, when you're fullest, so you're not caught out later in the day.
  3. Find the Middle Ground: Since your size shifts throughout the day, look for a nursing bra with soft, stretchy fabric and adjustable features rather than a rigid structured cup it'll flex with you.

Understanding Pakistani Band Sizing
Most Pakistani lingerie brands, including HayaSecrets, follow UK-style band sizing:

  • Round your underbust measurement to the nearest whole number
  • If it's an even number, add 4 inches
  • If it's an odd number, add 5 inches
  • That total is your band size (e.g., 30" underbust → size 34 band)

Didn't Get the Right Fit? Try a Sister Size
If your usual size feels off, a "sister size" can help before you size up or down completely:

  • Band feels tight, cup feels right? Go up one band size, down one cup size (e.g., 34C → 36B)
  • Band feels loose, cup feels right? Go down one band size, up one cup size (e.g., 34C → 32D)

Sister sizes have the same cup volume but a different band fit a quick fix while your body is still adjusting.

What to Look for in a Nursing Bra

  • Front-opening clasps for easy, one-handed access
  • Soft, non-wired support that won't restrict milk ducts
  • Breathable, stretchy fabric that moves with your changing size
  • Wide, adjustable straps to reduce shoulder pressure as your bust gets fuller

A Few Reminders

  • Re-measure every few weeks during the early nursing months your size isn't fixed.
  • Own at least 2-3 nursing bras in your current size so you're never stuck wearing a wet or worn one.
  • If something pinches, digs in, or leaves marks, it's not the right size don't push through discomfort.

At HayaSecrets, we believe nursing shouldn't mean sacrificing comfort. Find your fit, and let your bra support you through this stage not fight against it.
